scavenger hunt sunday

sundays are wonderful.  i love spending time with my family and going to church. i also love that i get to play with my camera.  i recently got photoshop elements 10 (i've never had an editing program before...i've just used a free online service).  however, i want to step it up a little with this hobby of mine.  i've been busy watching tutorial after tutorial trying to learn the software.  i apologize if my photos look over processed.  you know, when you learn something, you often go overboard...:)  hopefully i'll get it figured out sooner rather than later.

here are my interpretations from this week's scavenger hunt.  as always, thanks ashley for this challenge (i'm super impressed with her...she has left a comment every week i've participated.  i never expected that!)

1. love

my husband surprised me this week with flowers, candy, and this teddy bear at work.  what a sweetie!

2. duplicated

these are the same flowers...duplicated in this picture. :)  i love that he got me a variety of colors. way to go hunny, really!

3. trending
i really hope i'm not breaking the rules, but i do not have a photo for this one.  i have resisted joining the twitter world, so i have no clue what is trending according to twitter.  i don't know how everyone keeps up with everything. between my two blogs, facebook, and pinterest, i just don't want to add one more thing.

4. paper

i've been on a reading kick lately.  especially books that can help me be a better person.  in december i started working out and watching what i've been eating.  this book is a wonderful resource and has equipped me with scripture and the drive to be healthy.

5. plastic

i have a love/hate relationship with these plastic magnets.  they are on my fridge.  i love them when they entertain my kids while i'm trying to cook. i  hate them when they are scattered all over the floor. :)

until next time...

  3. Lovely flowers! I have been dieting, too, and will definitely have to check out that book. As for the plastic letters - I feel your pain! :) My son discovered that they stick to all metal and so now they are scattered throughout the kitchen!

  4. gosh - I remember feeling the same way about magnetic letters on my fridge. And, my girls are in their 30's now. times don't change all that much (where children are concerned, at least)... now technology, that's a different story. TRENDING could be adopting a healthier lifestyle. Now, that's a trend I'm working on! Nice set of photos.

  5. Thankyou for your comment you left at mine, You have now inspired me to take a set of photos of my baby's clothes before I pack them off. I felt the same about trying to find a subject for trending, it was very difficult. I am a Ludite and have only just really got into the internet ( Facebook and My Blog) and I don't really have the time or inclination to add anything else to the mix.
I really like the shot of Plastic, and Your flowers are just beautiful.
