we went putt putt golfing and the course was so pretty.  there were tons of palm trees and ornamental grasses.  I took this picture when it was almost dark.  when shooting people, I tend to not like to raise my iso too much because I don't like the grain (so instead I shoot in auto to get the flash...yikes I know! but I rather the flash effects than grain usually). but this time I thought i'd play around with my iso.  I think this picture looks pretty clear despite the dark conditions and high iso.  I need to do this more when shooting people too.

we visited the grand canyon today. nothing seems to scare this little one! (don't worry, there's another cliff not too far below her, it just doesn't look like it from this angle!)  we kept both of the kids close the entire time we were there!

i am so ready for spring!  i had to put out some spring/easter decorations to boost the moral around here. it's sooo cold here and spring seems like a long ways off. a little spring cheer goes a long way.

this is greyson's preschool class.  we had mother's night.  the kids sang songs, we went on a bear hunt, made a craft, and ate some snacks.  it was a nice evening just me and my bubba.

we had our first snow day and we played and played and played.  kenna wore her tutu and greyson's safety glasses most of the day.  i just love her and the fun we had!

kenna doll fell alseep on john's shoulder.  that never happens. he was even able to put her in bed without her waking up.  that never happens either.  she slept for two hours and still went to bed on time.  that never happens.  i was afriad she was coming down with something but thankfully she didn't.

today was the first time we had snow that was good enough to make a snowman.  john and greyson played outside for hours.  they rode the fourwheeler, shoveled the sidewalk, and built the snowman.  they were so proud.

i heard greyson working in the office.  he was having a great time pretending to call customers just like his daddy.  i just stood at the door and watched him for a while.  he sure picks up on a lot.

greyson has been working on tying his shoes.  since little sister likes to do everything he does, she insisted she tie my shoes this morning.  of course, she didn't get very far! ;)

i know this is technically not composed wonderfully, but i still love this image.  he was actually under the water and i was hoping to get him when he came out of the water just a little bit but he came out much faster than i expected.  so this is what i got.  i love that he is flexing his muscles and that you can see the water droplets.  it captures some of his energy that is ever present in his little body!
